Sunday Reset ππ♀️π
Let’s start with a quick apology for the radio silence this past week. I haven’t abandoned the blog—just shifting gears a little. I’ve been focusing on being more present in real life (and less glued to my screen), and honestly, I’ve been completely consumed by a couple of books lately. That said, if you’re needing a dose of life updates, I did manage to sneak a new post up on Instagram!
This morning kicked off bright, early, and humid with a 12-mile run alongside the Fleming Island Plantation run club. I spent most of it pacing one of the guys in the group who—let’s just say—was running on vibes and leftover fireworks from the Fourth. π Out of our regular crew, I’m the fastest woman and pretty much always hang right on the tail of the men’s group when they’re taking it easy, which makes for a sweaty, slightly competitive start to the day.
I finished my route next to Sonic (yes, on purpose), grabbed a cherry limeade for the walk home, and was greeted at the door by a sweet surprise: a brand new pair of Kinvara 14s just waiting to be laced up. Few things feel more hopeful than fresh shoes on a Sunday.
The house has been cleaned, I have been cleaned, and I’m now tucked away on the couch while the sky stays overcast—curled up with Never Lie by Freida McFadden. It’s eerie, fast-paced, and just unpredictable enough to make you forget the time.
Here’s to Sundays that reset the soul.
And while this past week was quieter on the blog… next week won’t be. There’s something I’ve been sitting with—and I think I’m finally ready to write about it.
Stay close. π¬
