Morning Mercies & Quiet Waters
— Psalm 143:8
This verse hit different this morning — maybe it’s the stillness of the house before the day begins, or the way the coffee feels warmer when paired with quiet time and Scripture. Either way, it was the perfect reminder to slow down, breathe deep, and realign before the weekend busyness picks up.
Before the sunscreen and snacks get packed… before the towels are stuffed in beach bags and the car gets loaded for the lake… this moment is mine. A soft start to the day, tucked into a verse that feels like both a whisper and a promise: God’s love is already here, and He’s ready to lead.
There’s something sacred about starting the day with intentional quiet — not rushing toward the to-do list, but letting peace find you first. Today’s plans may include loud laughter, splashing water, and plenty of sunscreen, but this little corner of the morning belongs to Him.
Here’s to still mornings, stirred hearts, and the kind of guidance that only comes from laying it all down before the day begins.
