Recover. Reflect. Reset.

Alright, here is life after Chicago! It’s been just a little over 24 hours since I crossed the finish line and I’m having about as much trouble walking as you can imagine. My legs aren’t quite as sore as I thought they would be but I do have some pains in my right Achilles so I’ll be watching that over the course of this next week off.

I’m posted up on the couch watching Ed Gein on Netflix sipping some home made iced coffee surmising over new fitness goals. Mavs of course is with me, being the bestest goodest boy. Matts mowing the lawn because there’s no better way to chase away the post marathon soreness am I right? He’s crazy lol

Now that I won’t be running longer miles I’ll be dialing it back to focus on speed and building strength back again. It’s going to be so weird having more time back in the morning and it’s going to take some mental adjusting to establishing a new routine and prioritizing a different type of fitness.

Tomorrow morning will be filled with gentle walking and some Pilates in the home gym! A day of working from home should hopefully put my brain back into its regular gear of addressing all things reality that are waiting for me back in that yucky corporate office…

More to come, and greater things Lord willing πŸ₯°
