What would my perfect day be like? -
Happy Friday friends! I can’t believe the kind of week I’ve had! I also can’t believe it’s been so long so I’ve been able to just come on here and talk with everyone.
Let’s see, summer is definitely here in all its heated mess and sweaty glory. I went out after work last Friday with my coworker Matt and nearly died of heat stroke. We ended up sitting at the rooftop bar at this place by the pier on Jax Beach called O-Ku and I definitely wore the wrong outfit! Sweater season is out folks in case you didn’t already know 🙃 picture proof for evidence as this was waiting for me when I got into my car after work!
Aside from just the summer season starting, I finally got to get coffee with Ash this week and catch up. Her and Ben are celebrating their 10 year wedding anniversary this week and we needed girl time before I dog sit for her over an extended weekend! It was fantastic to gossip and girl talk, mostly about Taylor Swift........ and other things lol and some fun things coming up for the family. One big milestone that's coming up that we spent so much time talking over is my oldest nephew who is about to start Kindergarten. His orientation was the other night and Ash maybe cried about it twice in our conversation lol I don't blame her....how in the world is he old enough to be starting grade school!? It really does feel like yesterday that he was born. The first born grandchild has been such a star of the show in our family and honestly you guys, it kind of makes me wonder if more grandkids need to be added to the family....idk, I am way too young to be thinking in that direction lol
Alright enough of that, what’s my ideal day? The one I’m having this weekend! At the beach after a long run, sipping a chill recovery drink while laying on a beach towel trying to get a tan lol I've been trying my hardest to work on improving my complexion and elevate my vitamin D levels which are SO hard to get up lately. My doc aside from supplementing vitamin D also wants me to try and get it in it's natural form as much as I can. Did you know that Floridians are some of the most Vitamin D deficient people? Who would have guessed!? It's probably due to our abundant fear of skin cancer and trying to just stay out of the heat! Which is one reason why I bring my fan to the pool with me whenever I get a chance to go lol but thankfully I'll get some breeze at the beach which is so much more relaxing. I need a long boozy nap by the Atlantic after the week I've had...
Let’s talk tomorrow! Lots planned and really looking forward to a long weekend just before vacation starts next week!!!! T-minus 5 days and counting! :D
