Morning Cup of Heart
There’s something about quiet mornings that speak a little louder than the rest of the day. Today, I found myself sitting with Psalm 29:11 while waking up and finding enough strength to start my morning workout.
"The Lord will give strength unto his people; the Lord will bless his people with peace."
Strength and peace. Two things that don’t always show up together, yet I’ve been learning that the deepest kind of strength doesn’t roar—it steadies. It stands firm without needing to be loud about it.
This verse reminded me that being strong doesn’t mean charging through everything. Sometimes it’s letting go of what doesn’t serve you anymore. Sometimes it’s not saying what you could say.
And sometimes, strength is just being still long enough to receive peace.
I don’t always get it right, but I’m trying to rest in the idea that strength isn’t always visible—and peace doesn’t always mean everything around you is calm.
Sometimes it’s just a quiet confidence that you’re held, even in the middle of a mess.
