Saturday Morning Stillness
There’s something sacred about the quiet that settles in on a Saturday morning. Before the errands, the planning, the endless little to-dos that come with weekends disguised as rest. Just me, a worn coffee mug, and the soft hum of a world not quite awake yet.
The grass still holds onto the dew. The air is warm but gentle. And for a moment, I let everything be still.
This morning, I’m carrying 2 Corinthians 5:7 with me—“For we walk by faith, not by sight.”
It’s one of those verses that feels especially honest in the small, in-between moments. When the weekend feels too full, when I’m not sure how it’ll all fit, when the to-do list is louder than my own thoughts… faith reminds me I don’t need to see the whole path to take the next step.
So I breathe in, sip slowly, and start the day from a place of peace.
The rest will come. And faith will carry me through it.
I’m resting from running today and Matt and I are about to take the dogs on a long walk before errands and getting the to-do’s started. Pool time and meal prep later with some pictures to follow hopefully in the next post!
