What is your biggest secret and why haven't you told anyone? - Sweaty Tuesdays and Pre-Travel anxiety!
Well happy warm and muggy Tuesday friends! Did anyone else lace up to grab some miles before sunrise today? I know I did. You might say drenched is the word to describe how I looked after a short seven miles. I had no tank tops and had to opt for this old t-shirt which loudly translated just how much sweat I made this morning lol
I'm happily at home today as I saw that there were major delays on the Buckman this morning so I don't feel bad missing out on that. I was able to log in early, showered and dressed with a breakfast sandwich in hand by 0730. I guess you could call that a successful start to the day? Hopefully the trajectory of the day doesn't deviate lol
How about diving into today's topic?
You ever meet someone who hints at all the things they don’t say out loud? The ones who talk in riddles and side glances — people with entire backstories you can only guess at if you read between the lines of their Instagram captions?
Yeah. That’s not me.
If you’re looking for a vault of scandal, a shadowy past, or some twisty little secret I’m hiding behind my smile — I’m going to disappoint you. I don’t have some big, deep, dark secret waiting to be unraveled. What I have is… me. A fairly straightforward, slightly too chatty, extremely approachable open book. And not a mysterious hardcover either — think soft-cover memoir with sticky notes and margin scribbles.
I’ve never been one for pretending. Maybe it’s because I genuinely don’t have the energy for anything other than real life. Or maybe it’s because I believe there’s more strength in vulnerability than in silence. But either way, I’ve just never felt the need to hide the messy bits. I’ll tell you when I’m tired. I’ll laugh when I mess up. I’ll admit when I’ve eaten the entire sleeve of Oreos after saying I was “trying to be good this week.”
People often confuse transparency for weakness — like having no secrets means you’re somehow boring. But let me tell you: honesty is its own kind of power. There’s nothing to weaponize against me when I already own all of it.
So no, I’m not the girl with the hidden file of drama or a past that creeps up on me in the dark. I’m the girl who tells you how she feels, answers the question honestly, and yes — probably overshares just a little too often.
But you’ll never have to guess where I stand.
And isn’t that its own kind of mystery in today’s world?

Speaking of mystery, do you remember that picture I took of an Airbnb a while ago? I'll be propped up in it this time next week!
Just like in today's topic, I'm very much an open book and if you follow me on Pinterest you probably have an idea of where I'm heading next week :D It's no secret but sometimes I like to leave everyone guessing lol
I'm working on my packing list and shopping for some last minute travel items and absolutely can't wait to put up my OOO again. But this time it will be up for an entire work week!
Anyone else make a travel/packing list and check it 1,600 times before packing away the first travel item? I usually don't act this way for a quick turn around trip like the one we had last month which really just included shorts, tanks, swimsuits and essentials.
But this trip is going to be different since we'll be on the other side of the country.
Either way, I'm so excited to get away and more time off can't get here fast enough!
Aside from all of that, I completed the second day of the 60-day ab challenge this morning and hope you all are having fun with this! I'm off early today and will be getting coffee with Ashley while my MIL watches the kids. Hello Spring Park coffee, some clouded outdoor coverage and no TEAMS messaged.
Thanks for spending some time with me today! Hope everyone's week is off to a great start and plans are already in full swing for the weekend ;)
