First Day of School? Weekend recap

Happy Monday everyone!

Apparently it's the first day back to school? I did not know given the commute today. I noticed today there was a shocking lack of traffic.....did I miss something? I thought everyone would be on the road dropping off kids and such. Not the case for this child free household, we're both back to work today after a really great but fast weekend.

But hey speaking of Back to School, I made a few surprise sales on my Etsy store last week! Someone bought a pair of cute pencil style dangle earrings and the last 'Teacher' bracelet that I had on my site. I'll cut a major deal for anyone from my subscriber list if you're interested in any back to school bling 😊

I also make some really cute polymer bookmarks for the book girlies! Here's a link to my shop if anyone is interested or just wants to window shop 😘

Saturday consisted of laundry and lots of reading before me and Matt went to dinner with my parents. 'Does it Hurt' is getting really good! I also didn't realize what a perfect summer read this would be when I picked it out so it's so kindly distracting me again like everything else H.D writes lol

Sunday's long run: 16 miles, 8 at marathon pace....😐

Not on the river, not weaving through town — nope. I kept it safe on the “shorter” loop inside my neighborhood. Why? Well… last week’s route came with bonus distraction in the form of a peeping ex-girlfriend drive-by so until I can get more deets on some ancillaries I'm going to try and keep a low profile when I'm out running. No more posting in my stories of where I ran or where I plan to run etc. Here's me showing accountability in a safe group of fellow runners lol I also like the GPS signal inside of my neighborhood much better as opposed to the interference of overhanging trees out on Town Center and the rest of the island.

We wrapped up the morning with tacos — because running 16 miles without tacos is just bad life planning — and then headed to Ponte Vedra Beach for the afternoon (Pics on the thoughts and things page) Sunshine, sand, and the sound of the ocean… all blissfully free of TEAMS messages, emails and texts from work for a few more hours at least...

Finally, say hello to my little fuzzy niece! Sometimes she gets to stay with us and I get all the girl time for a few days with this one :)

Come back tomorrow for more topics and tea!

Good luck to everyone with kids starting back to school today~
